Our course includes both theory and practical assessments, including:
- Warehouse safety
- Introduction to fork truck controls and instruments
- Starting, moving, steering and stopping the fork truck
- Hydraulic systems
- Refuelling procedures
- Weight assessment
- Handling unladen and laden pallets
- Stacking / destacking
On completion of the test, a ‘Worksafe Notice of Assessment for a Licence to Perform High Risk Work’ along with a ‘Forklift Statement of Attainment’ will be issued to successful students. The unit of competence you will complete is "Operate a Forklift" (national code is TLILIC108A).
*Prerequisites – Photo identification, basic English and numeracy skills and safety boots.
